I know these aren't your power rankings, but explain to me how Indy is above the Patriots in this category. I'll be honest, the Patriots look like a better version of Indianapolis' offense mixed with the Ravens' defense of the early 2000s. Don't get me wrong, I would love to cut Tom Brady with a switchblade, but he's got the fire, talent and determination to take this team to 16-0 and possibly break all kinds of records. They are the best team in the NFL since some of the 1980s 49er teams.
Also, an underrated team is the Washingtonian Redskins. As a Cowboys fan this team scares me. They scare me mainly because I don't have a freakin' clue who is on their team, but they're still doing pretty damn good. Those are the teams you have to watch out for.

Hmm. Not ignoring you - just avoiding unnecessary football. Let me explain - for me, the Cowboys and UT - necessary...after that, I have nothing invested and it drives me crazy to watch! I love/loathe football season!

Chuck, I'm suprised that no one has questioned that. I guess it is that boxing type thing. Untill you take it away from the champ, I can't say they aren't number 1. Now if they slip up this week I will move the Patriots ahead of them, but until New England takes away that number one spot, its the Colts.

Well I guess I'm not as scared of the Redskins as I was before today. I am however even more impressed with New England. They're amazing, and I hate them. I guess the question will be settled next week as to who is the best team in the NFL though.

As a side note, I don't know much about Joe Gibbs, but I gained some respect for him today. When questioned about the Pats' throwing deep to Moss on 4th down when up 38-0, Gibbs said he had no problem with that play. He went on to say he had no problem with anything the Pats did. I saw the game and fully expected there to be an uproar over it. Gibbs showed he can take an ass whooping like a man, which deserves some sort of respect.
